Terms & Conditions Single-Use Event Basel
By registering for and/or attending Single-Use Event Basel 2026 (“the Event”), you agree to these Terms & Conditions.
1) Organiser
The Event is organised by Alea Publishers (the “Organiser”), a company based in the Netherlands. Contact: info@aleapublishers.nl | Address: Huis ter Heideweg 13, Zeist
2) Registration and confirmation
Your registration is confirmed once you receive a confirmation email from the Organiser. The Organiser may refuse or cancel registrations in cases of suspected fraud, misuse, or non-compliance with these Terms.
3) Ticket types, pricing and eligibility
Ticket types and prices are shown in the registration form and/or confirmation email. If you register using a partner/company free-access option, you confirm that you are eligible (e.g., an employee/member of the named organisation). The Organiser may request verification and may cancel tickets that are not eligible.
4) Payment (paid tickets)
For paid tickets, your registration is valid only after full payment is received. Any payment-provider terms may also apply.
5) Refunds and cancellations (attendee)
Refund requests must be submitted in writing to marketing@aleapublishers.nl.
Refund conditions (including any deadlines and potential administrative fees) are communicated during registration and/or in the confirmation email. If no specific conditions are stated, the Organiser will assess refund requests on a case-by-case basis.
6) Ticket transfer / name change
Tickets may be transferred to a colleague (name change) upon request via marketing@aleapublishers.nl.
Please include the original registration details and the replacement attendee’s contact information. Transfers are allowed up to 48 hours before the Event unless otherwise stated.
7) Changes, postponement, or cancellation by the organiser
The Organiser may adjust the programme, speakers, venue details, or schedule if necessary. If the Event is cancelled by the Organiser, ticket holders will be offered either:
a full refund of the ticket price paid (excluding any transaction fees charged by third parties, where applicable), or
an alternative (e.g., a transfer to a rescheduled date), if offered.
The Organiser is not responsible for additional costs such as travel or accommodation.
8) Admission, badge use, and conduct
Admission may require a badge and valid identification. Badges are personal and must not be shared. The Organiser and venue reserve the right to refuse admission or remove attendees whose behaviour is disruptive, unsafe, or inappropriate, or who do not comply with venue rules and staff instructions.
9) Photography, audio and video recording
The Event may be photographed and/or recorded. By attending, you grant the Organiser the right to use images and recordings in which you may appear for Event reporting and promotional purposes (online and offline). If you do not wish to appear in recordings/photography, please notify staff at registration/check-in.
10) Intellectual property
Event content (presentations, slides, handouts, branding, and recordings) is protected by intellectual property rights. Recording sessions and/or distributing Event materials is not permitted without prior written permission from the Organiser and, where applicable, the speaker.
11) Privacy and personal data (GDPR)
The Organiser processes personal data for Event administration (registration, confirmation, invoicing, badge creation, access control, service communications, and post-event follow-up). Data may be shared with trusted suppliers only where necessary to deliver the Event (e.g., registration platform, venue services, badge/AV suppliers). You may opt out of marketing communications at any time.
12) Liability
Attendance is at your own risk. The Organiser is not liable for loss, theft, or damage to personal belongings, or for indirect or consequential damages, except where liability cannot be excluded under applicable law.
13) Force majeure
The Organiser is not responsible for failure to perform obligations due to circumstances beyond its reasonable control (including but not limited to natural disasters, government measures, strikes, public health restrictions, or venue closure). In such cases, the Organiser may reschedule or adjust the Event and apply the refund/transfer arrangements described above.
14) Governing law and jurisdiction
These Terms & Conditions are governed by Dutch law, as the Organiser is established in the Netherlands, without prejudice to any mandatory provisions of applicable law. Any disputes will be submitted to the competent court in the Netherlands.
