Weโ€™re excited to announce Biotechnet Switzerland โ€“ an unique, growing, dynamic network that supports the competitiveness of the Swiss biotech ecosystem โ€“ as a partner of Single-Use Event Basel 2026.

Biotechnet Switzerland is an association of Swiss Universities of Applied Sciences, Universities, and Research and Technology Organizations. They help industry access high-caliber competences in biotechnology at their member organizations. Industrial partners including small, medium and large enterprises can rely on their proven expertise and outstanding infrastructure to support innovative research & development projects. They are also a premium partner to address continuing education needs.

Together with industrial partners, they influence the biotechnology landscape in Switzerland. Biotechnet Switzerland works in close collaboration with the Swiss Biotech Association (SBA) and is a source of qualified talents for industry and academia.

The white paper prepared by the DECHEMA Working Group Single-Use Technologies for Bio-Based Applications presents a comprehensive overview of single-use technologies (SUTs) in the context of advanced therapy medicinal products (ATMPs) manufacturing, with a particular focus on CAR T, mesenchymal stem cell and induced pluripotent stem cell-based products. Building on lessons learned from monoclonal antibody production processes, it examines how SUTs, process analytical technologies, and quality-by-design principles can be leveraged to enable the scalable, efficient, and GMP-compliant manufacturing of autologous and allogeneic cell-based therapeutics.

The history of Biotechnet Switzerland

The association was formed and supported by the Commission for Technology and Innovation (CTI) in 1998 as a national network of competence in research. Through participation in and execution of high-caliber R&D projects, Biotechnet rapidly gained recognition as specialized partner to complement R&D projects with state-of-the art, innovative technologies.

Today Biotechnet is a virtual network that enables companies and institutions to acess biotechnological expertise according to their specific needs. Along with highly specific services for biotechnological R&D, they also provide process and development consulting. Biotechnet also gained an excellent reputation as designer, organizer and conductor of first class education programs for continuing education.

They have performed multiple industrial R&D projects with budgets often larger than CHF 1 Mio. Biotechnet will complement your R&D projects with specific competencies. You also profit from their vast experience in successfully leading large, networked R&D projects. When you work with them within Innosuisse, BRIDGE and other national research programs, their help is financed by the Swiss Federation. Biotechnet helps you access excellence in R&D and gives you optimal support at low cost.
